How Gelco Products Fail - and How We Fix Them

• Gelco Model A stainless caps: lid separation at the weld seam. The Model A’s stamped lid attaches to the mesh skirt with a single continuous weld, and after five to seven Fort Worth summers of thermal cycling - 100-degree days dropping to 60-degree nights - that weld cracks. Water gets in, rusts the mesh from the inside out, and suddenly you’ve got a cap that looks fine from the yard but funnels rain straight down the flue.
